Ford Motor Company announced as one of the 2009 Fellows’ Choice Award Winners for Brand of the Year. They were given this award for there innovative approach using social media to improve communication with it’s consumers.
Ford has been very involved in social media and is noted for the Fiesta Movement, which 100 digital online influencers were loaned Ford Fiestas before the 2010 launch in North America. All their video, photos, tweets and more are documented on www.fiestamovement.com. There feedback was shared with engineers before production. Getting the public involved has brought the brand awareness of this small car to levels equivalent to models that have been in the market for two to three years! Another way Ford is moving to the top of the list for popularity and initial quality.
