2010 Ford Fusion – Economical, Fun and High Tech

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

The title sums up the reason Ford’s midsized Fusion is “Motor Trend’s” car of the year: economical, fun, and high tech. Those are great endorsements and go a long way in convincing a non-traditional Ford customer this vehicle won’t break the bank or the spirit. And not only is the Fusion a great family car; it ranks high on “Consumer Digests’” best cars for teen drivers.

Ford introduced the Fusion in 2006 and the reliable midsize which gave Ford the first viable vehicle to compete in this market since the Taurus is even better with a 2010 upgrade. The upgraded Sport model keeps the Fusion’s fun hydraulic steering. The S and SE regular Fusion offer fuel-efficient electric steering. The car comes in several trims: S, SE, Sport, and SEL (There is also a Hybrid model) offering a 2.5-liter 4 cylinder granting 175 hp; a 3.0-liter V-6 with 240 hp, and a 3.5-liter V-6 with 263 hp.

The 2006 version was no slacker and offered a roomy interior, handled well, and is looked upon as a good used vehicle. However, the 2010 stepped up and made this good vehicle a great one with a new sportier exterior and an interior that is comfortable even for Ford’s taller customers. Included in the entertainment package is the Sync infotainment system that pulls together audio and Bluetooth with voice-recognition. This is not only a convenience but keeps driver’s hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.

Speaking of safety the Fusion is a fun family vehicle and parents begin to ease up and enjoy trips when they know they have chosen not only an economical vehicle (Suggested MSRP begins at $19,695 and gas consumption at 22 city and 31 highway) but a safe means of transportation for their family. The Fusion comes with driver and passenger side front and front side airbags and full-length head-curtain airbags.

Stability control is now standard on all Fusions. Brand new to the 2010 Fusion is a blind-sport alert system. The 2010 Ford Fusion, a great way to enjoy a vehicle without sacrificing safety or your bottom line.

2011 Ford F-Series Super Duty Gets Tougher To Beat

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

Ford’s F-Series Super Duty “Built Ford Tough” truck will be even tougher with the 2011 debut. The Ford Design team works constantly to ensure the F-Series is the best vehicle on the market for its customer base–taking care to constantly update the solid work horse model while keeping in mind customer comfort and safety.

The ‘all-new’ and powerful 6.7-liter Power Stroke® V-8 turbocharged diesel and the new 6.2-liter V-8 gasoline engine will give customers that rely on superior performance from Ford’s F-Series an added boost. Fuel economy numbers have not been released yet.

While the F-Series exterior won’t change dramatically, many items have been given an update, for example the headlights and the Ford emblem are larger. Customers also can expect to see a newly designed inverted power dome hood made to give the performance enhanced engine options of diesel or gasoline some breathing room. The 2011 F-Series will also upgrade to chrome bumpers, fog lamps, and a sturdy chrome grill.

Interior designers of the F-Series took into consideration that owners need not only a truck with a towing capacity of 20,000 pounds and 24,600 when adding in truck weight, but also the owner may also need a truck to be an office on wheels. With this in mind designers gave the console an upgrade: a console that goes from instrument panel to the backseat of the vehicle. The flow-through console offers a place to keep laptops and other important technology, a tray that will organize coins/small tools or can be removed and the space used like a filing cabinet. Whatever your needs may be the flow-through storage area can be customized to fit.

Ford, the automaker out of Dearborn Michigan, strives to maintain and then improve a certain level of excellence in the models they manufacture. The F-Series is proof positive of this ideal.
